Winning Prayers - “Prayer of Rescue”

Days dawn with great expectation and are often filled with the ordinary. Moses woke to a day of tending sheep not knowing that he would encounter God and his rescue. David never knew that the visiting prophet would name him king bringing rescue to Israel. Peter and John were mending nets only to be called into the great adventure of rescue...Paul...I think you get the drift. God is the invader of the common ordinary...his invasion is always marked by His rescue....he has come to save us.

Today we will hear the prayer of a rescuer...his name Nehemiah...his rescue was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. But it was more than a building project. He was called by God to restore what was broken...to rescue those who were devastated.

Nehemiah's day dawned without his knowing that God was up to big things...calling him...inviting him into His plan. This is the same for you....the great doors of rescue swing on the small hinges of the ordinary...today is the day. Like Nehemiah let's allow our hearts to be broken for what breaks the heart of God and choose to join God in his rescue
