The Basics of Life - “Why Connect?”
Have you ever had somebody walk up to you at church, smile, shake your hand, and say, “Hey… brother!” Sometimes that is a beautiful expression of Christian affection.
Sometimes it means, “I have known you for eleven years, and your name has completely left the building.”
You’re smiling. They’re smiling. Neither of you knows what to call the other person, but everybody is being very spiritual about it.
And listen, most people welcome a friendly greeting. But there is something even better than having people who recognize your face. Having people who know your life.
People you can laugh with, pray with, learn with, and call when the week has not gone according to plan.
