Life Lessons from Country Music - Carrie Underwood's “Before He Cheats” Revenge and Forgivene

Many times teaching and leading groups, small group, high school or Jr. high youth, before we got into the lesson everyone would be talking about the latest book they read, or movie or comic book, or popular hit song… I would start asking questions “Why do you like this?”, “What about this book/movie/song speaks to you?”, “what is so cool about it?” – start examining themes – ask “what does God’s word say about that?”

Over the years that has turned into my “Life Lessons” Series

I see the entertainment industry get it right, even though many times they do not know why what they are doing works… reason is that they are projecting biblical Truth… many people in the world, entertainment industry, public figure, put it in their works not realizing where that truth comes from… the ultimate answers for life come from.

Other times it is our sin nature that pulls us toward things and we don’t even realize what that is.

So in Our new Series “Life Lessons from Country Music” we are going to look at some of the most popular country songs, see how they line up with scripture, and see what life lessons we can learn from them.
